Via the app a parent/carer can browse the menu and pre order, they can also allow the student to pre order and amend selections. Pre orders can be viewed and modified in the backend to support missing orders and substitutions.

A selected item not yet purchased can simply be removed. If an item has been purchased the operator can view a transaction report for an individual (that has identified themselves) and go into refund mode to modify a transaction. That creates a refund translation and issues a refund to a user's account.

The fingerprint itself isn’t stored but instead a map of key points which is then hashed (one way encryption) and securely stored. Its use is opt-in only so an alternative is required and we would recommend using a QR code. Parental consent can also be obtained and managed through the app.
